Free Pussy Riot Berlin Demonstration

Occupy Berlin Biennale and Free Pussy Riot Berlin:

On May 11th, 2012 at 16.00 a demonstration march rallying in solidarity with the innocent prisoners in general
and members of the Russian punk band Pussy Riot took place.

We demanded the immediate release and rehabilitation of these activists. We requested the European Union and Governments of Europe to take a firm stand and to exert pressure on the Russian Government.

We were supported by the powerful beats of a revolutionary sumba band. "Pussy Riot out of jail!"
Activists, artists, writers from Berlin and other German cities, as well as from Moscow, Minsk, Athens,
St. Petersburg were present. Here are some portraits:

The rain perfectly suited to the demonstration scenario. Over 100 people came,
allthough it was clear that it will rain, so our demonstrants are not random.

We gathered at Brandenburger Tor, we had to explain to public
that this is not at all a celebration.

  1. Great, one has to start rioting sooner or later, some place or other and Berlin seems to be the best place ever!

Good luck! Think the Embassy got the message.
